LOCATION: Batea / DO Terra Alta.

AGEING: 6 Months in French oak barrels.

Controlled fermentation process and later skin contact in 5,000l. vats for 3 to 4 weeks approximately. Daily tastings until the desired aromas, taste and colour are achieved.
Grapes sourced from Finca Torremadrina vineyard are harvested by hand in 15 Kg crates during the second and third week of September, depending on the optimum ripeness of each variety.
Deep Bigarreau cherry red in colour. Intense, elegant and balanced aromas with soft hints of toast and vanilla on a spicy background with some herbs. In the mouth, it is concentrated, warm and pleasant. Excellent structure and rounded tannins lead to a long finish, giving rise to notes of liquorice combined with hints of camphor. Very slowly, the fruit starts to appear, especially ripe fruit which give this wine a sweeter sensation, with a long and lingering finish and a general feeling of balance and complexity. It is a very honest wine.
Ideal with grilled red meats, game stews, meat carpaccios, pizzas with meat-based toppings or paired with dried fruit and nuts.
